Last year, Microsoft fought for the appearance on iOS of the service for “playing in the cloud” xCloud. From the letters published during the trial between Epic Games and Apple, it became known that a similar Shadow Cloud Computing service suffered because of this struggle.
The fact is that Apple did not let xCloud on her devices for a long time. The company explained this by the fact that streaming services give gamers access to games that it cannot check for compliance with the rules of the App Store. After that, Apple demanded to release games from such services as separate applications.
Microsoft in response asked why, in this case, Netflix, Shadow and other similar services are in the store. After this issue, Shadow was suddenly removed from the App Store.
Later, Shadow was returned to the store, and xCloud was launched on iOS via the Safari browser.
