For Grow Beetles, the White Nights conference, which ended a couple of days ago, was very successful. The project found a well-known publisher who guaranteed the game to receive 1 million paid installations.
How did it happen?
As part of the conference, the Playgendary studio and the Appodeal advertising platform held their own competition among mobile game developers. During the competition, developers presented and discussed their projects with Playgendary and Appodeal. The winner was guaranteed full-fledged publishing support, as well as the already mentioned million downloads.
Who is the winner?
Following the results of two days of demonstrations and conversations, the organizers of the contest chose the winner of the clicker from the Internet Expert team from Sergiev Posad. Their project Grow Beets is a bright music clicker about growing beets. The game is developed on the Corona engine.
“The main criterion for choosing the winner was the unique gameplay and a bright and memorable visual style of the game. In addition, we were looking for a completed game in which we could add our ideas and our experience to make the game even better,” Dmitry Degtyarev, head of the publishing division of Playgendary, explained the decision.
Is this the developer’s first game?
Internet Expert does not specialize in games at all. The main profile of the company is the development of Internet projects, including consulting and auditing. Despite this, she has been playing games for a long time. She released her first mobile game project in the spring of 2014.
For Playgendary and Appodeal, the current deal is the first since the announcement of their joint program for publishing casual games for mobile platforms in June this year.
