Publisher and developer InnoGames announced the acquisition of Funatics Studio. The team will join the company’s branch in Dusseldorf. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
InnoGames consists of four divisions. Branches in Hamburg develop mobile and browser games, the Dusseldorf office is mainly engaged in mobile development. The Funatics team will join this department.
The head and founder of Funatics, Thomas Friedmann, will join the management team of the branch.
Funatics is a small indie studio from the German city of Oberhausen. It opened in 1998 and has been developing mobile and browser games since then. The main cross-platform title of the team was the Cultures Online strategy.
Recall that InnoGames are the creators of the Forge of Empires cross-platform strategy. Last year, with the help of this title, the company earned € 100 million.
