The Svyaznoy company presented an infographic reflecting the state of the Russian smartphone market with a large diagonal (5 inches and above).
In the first quarter of this year, 100 thousand such devices were sold. Compared to the same period last year, an increase of 615% was recorded, and in monetary terms from 0.4 billion rubles to 2.1 billion rubles.
Accordingly, the share of these devices in the overall structure of the Russian smartphone market has increased. If in the first quarter of 2012 it was 11%, then a year later it rose to 26%. One of the growth catalysts was the reduction in the average cost of the devices (from 29,400 to 20,900 rubles)
Samsung Galaxy Note II, Sony Xperia Z and Fly IQ450 became the bestsellers of the Svyaznoy chain salons in the first quarter of 2013.
