After the closure of Impossible Studios, it was decided to suspend work on the role-playing project. Despite this, the franchise itself will live.
This was announced yesterday in the Epic Games podcast by Donald Mustard, creative director of Chair Studio, known for the original Infinity Blade and Infinity Blade II.
“There was a concept that came from Epic, there was an idea that we were happy to support,” Donald said about Dungeons. – But with the closure of the studio, the project was canceled.”
Impossible Studios, formed from the staff of Big Huge Games, lasted only six months. Epic, after reviewing the results of the studio’s work, decided to close the “shop” in February of this year.
So the future of the Infinity Blade series still remains for Chair.
According to Mustard, they plan to expand the universe of the game, release new games, new books, perhaps some other products under this IP.
