One of the central stories of the year in the gaming industry ended well.

Chinese regulators have started issuing identification numbers to new games again.

This was announced today, December 21, by the representative of the propaganda Department Feng Shixin (Feng Shixin) at the annual Chinese conference on the gaming industry. He also noted that the approval of the first batch of projects has already been completed, as reported by Reuters.

Against the background of this news, shares of Chinese gaming companies began to grow, according to Niko Partners. Tencent’s stock price has jumped by almost 5%, but many other market participants are experiencing more significant growth.

Recall that since March of this year, gaming licensing has been suspended in China. The games were not given the IDs required for publication in local digital stores. Due to the inability to update their portfolios, local companies have been losing sales dynamics since spring.
