Despite the poor financial results of last year, the expansion of the leading Rovio franchise into global markets continues. Angry Birds Activity Park will open very soon in the Northern capital.
The park will spread over 4 thousand square meters under the roof of the shopping complex “Europolis”, which has more than 40 attractions for children. The project is being implemented by one of the largest owners of commercial real estate in St. Petersburg, FORTGROUP, which, according to Delovoy Peterburg, the franchise of the park cost 8 million euros.
The volume of investments in the creation of an amusement park is estimated at 536 million rubles.
Visitors to the park, as reported on the official resource, will not only be able to “immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Piggy Island“, but also have a snack in a themed cafe and buy goods with Angry Birds symbols.
Pre-sale of tickets to the park started yesterday. The prices are still discounted, but they are already “biting”. 450 rubles are asked for a visit on a weekday, 650 rubles on a weekend.
The park will open in April, but the exact date has not yet been set.
Yesterday, Rovio Marketing Director Peter Vesterbaka arrived in St. Petersburg in connection with the transfer of the park into operation, who first announced Rovio’s plans to open such establishments more than two years ago.
