The French publisher Homa Games decided to go beyond the hyper-casual niche. The company has announced plans to engage in mobile puzzles and the genre of board games.

Within the framework of new niches for itself, Homa Games wants to use the same tools and approaches that it uses to publish and promote hyper-casual titles.
The company understands that puzzles and board games have a different audience and approaches to monetization. However, Homa Games insists that the idea of adding key elements of hypercage to casual products is a working one.
Publishers refer to the experience of working on Minesweeper (Hyperlite Studios). They say he turned out to be very successful.
“Thanks to the new monetization strategy and the new N-testing technology when working on advertising, Minesweeper’s first day (R1) retention increased by 18%,” reveals Janette D’Alessio, Strategic Development Manager at Homa Games.
Therefore, the company believes that it has something to offer not only to partners working on hyper-casual games, but also to the gaming industry as a whole.
On the other hand, it is important to understand that Homa Games is not a top company in the hyper—casual market. In terms of monthly downloads, it consistently closes the top twenty, sometimes without entering it. Its total monthly installations fluctuate at the level of 20-30 million, according to AppMagic.
Perhaps realizing the difficulty of further growth in its native niche (to get into the top 10, it needs to at least double monthly download rates), Homa Games is trying to diversify its portfolio and find a strategy that will allow it to get a new impetus for growth.
Plus, none of them seeks to go beyond the hypercausal direction. For example, Voodoo is now eyeing the direction of hybrid-casual titles.
