The American company Hasbro and its mobile games division Backflip Studios have settled a lawsuit over the copying of the Toy Blast game by the Turkish studio Peak Games.
The largest Turkish mobile game developer Peak Games sued Hasbro and Backflip Studios in October last year.
The plaintiff claimed that the American company stole his intellectual property by copying the design and layout of the Toy Blast game in his project My Little Pony: Puzzle Party.
In addition to the design and content, My Little Pony: Puzzle Party supposedly borrowed from Toy Blast a system for awarding game points and achievements.
The parties agreed on a confidential settlement of the dispute. Hasbro and Backflip Studios recognized the intellectual property rights of Peak Games and agreed to remove the game My Little Pony: Puzzle Party, which by that time had been downloaded about 3 million times.
The original Toy Blast 52 has gained millions of downloads.
