The release of Destiny 2 on Steam equalized the shares of its console and PC users. Now 51% of the game’s audience is playing from a desktop.
According to PC Games Insider with reference to the Charlemagne tracker, the Destiny 2 user base was distributed as follows:
- 51% — PC (a year ago — only 22%);
- 28% — PS4 (a year ago — 46%);
- 21% — Xbox One (a year ago — 32%).
This was hardly greatly influenced by the fact that Destiny 2 was made shareware. It has become such on all platforms.
Recall that Destiny 2 moved from Battle.net on Steam on October 1 — and instantly appeared in the tops of the peak online on the site. Its record at the moment is 292 thousand simultaneous users. But, although their number has declined, the peak in the last 24 hours was 209 thousand people.
