The revenues of leading mobile game developers have quadrupled over the past year, said Anil Dharni, one of the vice presidents of GREE.
In his interview with TechCrunch, Enil noted that this happened largely due to the growing popularity of “apple” tablets. Developers from Supercell also talked about this a little earlier, noting that it is the iPad that generates a significant share of their revenue.
Dharni is also confident that Google Play will grow even faster this year than last year and, moreover, is already starting to catch up with the App Store in terms of revenue. In principle, this is also not a secret, given the recent App Annie reports.
Dharni joined GREE last year after it bought Funzio, which he founded, for $210 million.
