13 games from one developer have been removed from Google Play. All these are racing simulators that managed to generate a total of 560 thousand downloads. Everyone who downloaded them received malware in addition.
The problem became known last week thanks to ESET specialist Lukas Stefanko. It turned out that any of these games initiated a crash at the time of launch and immediately downloaded a third-party program to the smartphone. This program installed malware and removed its icon from the desktop.
It is known that the developer of all 13 titles is a certain Luiz O. Pinto. His infected games turned out to be very popular, two of them even got into the top trending on Google Play.
