A series of restrictions from Google continues. Russian companies and private users can no longer create new accounts in AdSense, AdMob, Google Advertising Manager and Google Cloud.
Google announced the sanctions against the first three services yesterday. This decision was made in light of the shutdown of the company’s advertising systems in the country (on March 4, Google suspended sales of contextual advertising in Russia).
The company also noted that in the “near future, the display of advertising on Google resources and networks around the world for advertisers located in Russia will be suspended.”
As for the blocking in relation to Google Cloud, this became known thanks to Business Insider. According to him, innovations in relation to the cloud service will not affect the residents of Belarus. They will be able to use the cloud service as before.
Microsoft and Amazon have previously imposed similar sanctions on Russia. On March 4, the Redmond company announced the termination of local sales of Azure, and on March 9 it became known that Amazon Web Services does not accept new Russian customers.
The suspension of the activities of large companies in Russia is a response to the current situation in Ukraine.
