The publisher and developer of Glu Mobile is suing the Canadian studio Hothead Games. The reason was the game Kill Shot. According to the prosecution, the game is a clone of Deer Hunter 2014 from Glu Mobile.
Glu accuses Hothead Games not that they copied the game code or assets, but that the appearance and gameplay were stolen.
“Kill Shot is the spitting image of Deer Hunter 2014,” says Chris Akhavan, head of Glu Mobile’s publishing department. “We think they [Hothhead Games] spent several months trying to copy our game.”

However, it will not be easy to get a court decision on whether the game is cloned or not.
