Twitch has launched a program to support developers interested in promoting through online broadcasts.
This became known within the framework of the GDC conference currently taking place in Los Angeles.
The program itself is called Developer Success. As stated during its announcement by Kathy Astromoff, vice president of the program, the message from Developer Success is as simple as possible.
What do developers need to succeed? First of all, of course, to make a cool game. Then they need to show it to the target audience. The next task is to captivate the audience with the project. The final stage is to convert viewers into new players.
The new Twitch program is just aimed at helping developers with the demonstration, passion and conversion of products.
A key component of the program is the Stream First initiative. The games developed within its framework are completely built on interaction with users via Twitch.
One of such projects is a digital version of the Superfight card buttler. It is based on the competition of opponents in eloquence, in the ability to present the most weighty counterargument.
Opponents — real people — argue in real time whose character is cooler. The audience is watching this show. Moreover, they take an active part in this, voting in the Twitch chat, whose arguments they like more.
