The independent studio Subset Games has confirmed that it is working on a version of FTL: Faster Than Light for tablets.
Today FTL is commonly described as a synthesis of rogue and tactical strategy. The player controls the crew of a spaceship, travels through the universe, explores sectors and fights with enemy ships.
Concurrently, the game is one of the most successful Kickstarter projects (in terms of, people chipped in and, surprise, a great game came out).
The project was initially very much awaited on mobile platforms. But the developers have not shared their plans for the development of the game until recently.
However, the day before yesterday, Subset Games on Reddit confirmed that they are currently working on an iPad version of FTL. The project will not appear on smartphones due to the fact that “the size of their screens will not allow you to comfortably play FTL.” Whether the game will appear on Android tablets, the developers themselves do not know yet.
Nothing is known about the release dates either.
