Seven veterans of the gaming industry have launched a new mobile game development studio Armada Interactive in Helsinki and have already managed to attract $3 million in investments.
Finland is one of the world’s central mobile forges. Every month it is updated with new teams planning to become new Rovio or Supercell. Most asterisks don’t take off, but some are literally born to succeed.
The new Armada Interactive studio belongs to the latter. It attracts attention, first of all, by the stellar composition of the founders, including:
- Samuli Syvahuoko, who launched Remedy in 1995;
- Giuliano Cremaschi, former Creative Director of Crytek;
- Mikko Kinnunen, former art Director of BioWare;
- Juha Matikainen is the former CEO of Seriously.
The studio will develop three-dimensional multiplayer games with synchronous PvP. It is stated that the company initially plans to develop its projects so that they are suitable for esports competitions.
The company, officially founded last year, has already raised $3 million for the development of projects during the first round of financing.
