Pet Rescue Saga, King’s third game on mobile platforms, appeared on the App Store on June 12. It’s time to sum up the preliminary results.

Pet Rescue is a match-3 about cute little animals that need to be saved by removing all or almost all cubes from the screen. Like the previous King games, the project is distributed for free. Monetization is built around the sale of additional moves, bonuses and access to new packs (in the latter case, you don’t have to pay, it’s enough to spam friends).

The DAU of the project on Facebook before the mobile release was 5.7 million. At the moment, according to Inside Social Games, the project’s MAU in the social network is 27 million.

The results in the App Store are mixed. Judging by the App Annie charts, traffic is regularly drained into the project. This can be understood, for example, by the sharp increase in downloads in the American market from July 8 to 11 and from July 24 to 25, which then sharply goes into decline.

In other words, the project is not holding up in the free tops at the moment, quickly descending below the 100 position. However, in the cash top, the sales curve is steadily growing. There are no downturns. At the moment, the game is on the 15th position in the iPhone US box office overall chart.

A very similar position on the British App Store. Only here the fall in the free top is much slower.

In the Russian market, the schedule of Pet Rescue Saga downloads is very ragged.

Nevertheless, periodically in our market, traffic is also periodically poured into the project. But in terms of cash, we see the same steadily growing curve.Starting from all this, we can conclude that the project at this stage shows good potential in financial terms.

And, perhaps, over time, it will become the second major pillar of King on mobile platforms. The fact that traffic does not come directly from Candy Crush Saga (King has completely abandoned advertising in its projects of whatever it is) may affect the fact that Pet Rescue cannot gain a foothold in the free charts yet.
