The Instant Games gaming platform is coming out of beta. Facebook has announced the expansion of its audience and the launch of new functionality.
Yesterday, May 2, the social network Facebook announced that it is opening access to Instant Games to all Messenger users (the opening will occur gradually over the next few weeks). Before that, the platform was in beta and not everyone could play HTML5 projects.
The opening of access is expressed in the appearance of a button in the Messenger menu that launches the platform.
In addition, Instant Games has new functionality:
- ability to add players via threads;
- custom messages and CTA buttons;
- turn-based PvP support;
- bots that notify players about new game content.
One of the first games with turn-based PvP support was just released on the Words With Friends platform. You can’t play it without choosing an opponent from your friends.
Facebook, as part of the announcement of the release of Instant Games, also announced the imminent release on the 8 Ball Pool platform from Miniclip.
A total of 50 projects are now available to play on Instant Games. Every week Facebook promises to release several new games. New items will receive a feature on the top panel of the platform.
