At least the main news of this week, an event that in the near future will completely change the situation on the App Store and Google Play gaming market: Facebook has announced that it is taking up the publication of mobile games.

More specifically, Facebook announced the pilot launch of the Mobile Games Publishing program. It is designed to help small and medium-sized teams in publishing mobile games on the global market.

Employees of the social network will work directly with the developers of a particular game, as well as assist in its promotion in Facebook mobile applications.

In exchange for help, developers will have to share part of their profits with Facebook. Exactly how much interest the Zuckerberg network will ask for is not specified.

Among the first partners are such “small” companies as Gameloft and Gamevil.

It is still not entirely clear whether the new promotion will be completely similar to the one offered by Kakao and LINE. But it is clear: a new giant is coming to the mobile games market, which, potentially, can easily “eat” the tops of the App Store and Google Play applications.

Recall that Facebook’s mobile audience is more than 800 million people.
