Minecraft’s monthly audience has reached 91 million players

Today, Minecraft is not talked about as often as in the first year after its release. Nevertheless, this indie title remains one of the most popular games in the world. Its MAU is larger than that of the Fortnite frituplein (whereas Minecraft itself is not frituplein).

Minecraft’s monthly active audience is 91 million people. VentureBeat writes about this with reference to Microsoft. During the year, the game’s MAU grew by 17 million users. For comparison: the base of monthly active players in Fortnite in September was 78 million. And although Fortnite has managed to become a more significant information trend than Minecraft, the latter is not losing ground.

In the near future, the popularity of Minecraft may grow even stronger. Microsoft has announced that the Mojang AB sandbox game will be added to the Xbox Game Pass on April 4.
