Our colleagues from Kanobu have prepared a curious material in which they compared how the “picture” has changed in games created on the Epic Games game engine over the past four years.
The iPhone 6 was used as a “measuring” device. The list includes projects of the Infinity Blade series, BioShock, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and many others. Unfortunately, we did not find in the sample such iconic projects for the Unreal mobile ecosystem as Lili, Real Boxing and GodFire. Anyway, comparing the screenshots of Epic Citadel (2010) and BioShock (2014) does not lead to the most comforting conclusions.
Infinity Blade was the first Unreal Engine game released for iOS. Unfortunately, age takes its toll: on the iPhone 6, the “Infinity Blade” does not work in full screen.
