Sony has confirmed work on a new console

No one doubted that Sony was working on a new console. However, until today, the company has dispensed with unambiguous statements.

The development of the new hardware was confirmed by Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida. In an interview with the Financial Times, he said that “[in the current conditions today] it is necessary to have a next-generation device.”

Yoshida did not name the development. It can be either PlayStaion 5 or something else. According to the Financial Times, the new device will not differ significantly from the current Sony console, the basic architecture may remain the same.

However, another 27 thousand are somehow connected with game development (journalists, PR specialists, lawyers, office managers, cleaners, and so on).
