Successful sale
Starbreeze has reported a record-breaking quarter in terms of profitability. In April-June, she earned $13.5 million ($0.1 million more than a year earlier). The company managed to do this without new releases.
More impressive is how EBITDA has grown (earnings before taxes, deductions of expenses and other things). If a year ago the company was in the red, this time the quarter ended with a plus of $ 6 million.
The main reason for the growth of profitability is the sale of the rights to publish the network survival Dead by Daylight back to the developers — Behavior Interactive.
Dead by DaylightThe main guy on mobile
Sensor Tower reported that Fortnite took the same amount of time on iOS as Clash Royale to achieve revenue of $200 million. Both games, according to the analytical platform, collected this amount in five months.
The main sales of the game were provided by the States. They are responsible for 63% of the money spent on the game. The UK is in second place in terms of spending.
Analysts predict that by the end of the year the game will collect $450 million on the Apple platform.

Cowboys are coming back
THQ Nordic revives the Desperados gaming brand. The company announced work on the third part of the tactical series.
The development is led by the Munich studio Mimimi Productions. The year before last, she was noted for performing Shadow Tactics in the same genre. The developers claim that Desperados III in terms of gameplay will rely on the first part of the IP.
Over the past year, this is the second major announcement within the genre of tactical strategies in real time. Earlier this year, the Russian Alter Games announced the game “Partisans”.
Desperados III The settlers will come out again
Ubisoft has decided to return to The Settlers series of economic simulators. The French giant announced during the ongoing Gamescom that it will re-release the first seven parts of the game.
The good news doesn’t end there. The company also announced the relaunch of the series. The new part, whose release is scheduled for 2019, will be called simply The Settlers. Judging by the video, donkeys will definitely return in it, and there will also be gladiatorial fights.
