It’s not worth waiting for Infinity Blade: Dungeons. The studio that was preparing a mobile role-playing hack & slash game on the Unreal engine was closed. The official reason is not completely clear.

Last spring, after the failure of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the developer company 38 Studios was closed. This was followed by the dissolution of the Big Huge Games owned by her. It would seem a sad story, if not for one “but”.

In August, Epic Games announced the formation of Impossible Studios from the staff of Big Huge Games, which was commissioned to bring to mind the long-awaited Infinity Blade: Dungeons. After that, there was no news about the project and the team until recently. Before the announcement of its closure, to be more precise.

As the founder of Epic Games Tim Sweeney stated in his official address, the initiative did not work. The young studio did not live up to expectations. Despite this, Epic is ready to financially support it for another three months and gives the rights to the logo and the name Impossible Studios.

The future fate of Infinity Blade: Dungeons is anyone’s guess. Recall that the game was announced by Apple together with Epic Games at the presentation of the iPad 3 almost a year ago.
