The authors Max Payne and Control — the Finnish studio Remedy — signed a contract with a new publisher. It became Epic Games. The companies have agreed to work together on two yet-to-be-announced games for PC and next-generation consoles.
Control
According to the contract, the publisher will not limit Remedy in creative terms.
Epic Games also guarantees that the IP of future titles will remain with the Finnish company. The publisher does not plan to apply for them.
Very little is known about new projects so far:
- The first one will be a multiplatform AAA game. The developer states that the game is in pre-production and is the most ambitious Remedy project at the moment.;
- the second game will take place in the same universe as the first, but it will be much smaller in scale.
There is no specific release date. It is also unclear on which engine the games will be developed. After all, Remedy itself has been developing its own technical tools for a long time.
The previous Remedy game, Control, was published by the Italian 505 Games.
