Developers continue to use celebrities to promote mobile games. Next up is the Chinese studio Lilith Games, which invited Elijah Wood to advertise the AFK Arena mobile tile.

The trend to use the brand in promoting the game has not been going on for many years. From the latest cases, we can recall the role-playing shooter Cyberpunk 2077, in which actor Keanu Reeves appeared and the third-person action Death Stranding with a whole set of celebrities: among others, Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux and others starred in it.

This time it became known about the “star cast” in the advertising campaign of the mobile game AFK Arena. According to PocketGamer, Elijah Wood has become the face of a series of Lilith title commercials, the first of which can already be seen online.

According to the plot, the actor’s character is fond of role-playing games and has been playing one very difficult title for many years. At some point, AFK Arena catches his eye, the gameplay of which looks much easier. However, this does not like the orc Uzgak (Uzgahk) — the hero of the old game. In the promotional series, a “love triangle” develops between Wood, Orc Uzgak and AFK Arena.

By the way, this is not the first time Lilith has signed contracts with celebrities to promote this title. Only two months ago, the developers integrated into it the character of the Assassin’s Creed line Ezio Auditore de Firenze (Ezio Auditore de Firenze).

Lilith is a Chinese game developer and publisher who has released games such as: Art of Conquest, Soul Hunters and Rise of Kingdoms.
