Starting from the 2014 fiscal year, which will begin only next April, EA plans to launch all its mobile titles in China through one of its external companies – PopCap China.
So far, one of the main achievements of the studio has been the successful release of Plants vs Zombies: Great Wall. The project was an adapted version of the first part of Plants vs Zombies for the Chinese market. The project was not only translated, but also partially redrawn for Eastern users.
In connection with this success, the management of Electronic Arts decided to bring all its major mobile hits to the Chinese market from now on with the help of PopCap China. CEO Leo Liu said that it has already been decided to start Chinese localization of titles under the brands FIFA, Need for Speed, Heroes of Dragon Age and Battlefield.
