EA earned $90 million on mobile games in three months, the company said in its financial report for the first quarter of 2014.
The company’s digital revenues from mobile games and projects for portable consoles totaled $103 million. This is 30% more than in the same period a year ago.
Simpsons: Tapped Out contributed the most money to EA’s piggy bank, for which, according to company representatives, April-June was a record quarter since the launch of the game in August 2012. However, EA did not specify exactly how much the game earned.
But it became known that since the release of Real Racing 3 in March, the number of its downloads amounted to 45 million, and the DAU of the game is 2 million.
The American publisher noted that by the end of June EA became the largest global publisher of games on iOS.
Recall that the company’s financial year begins on the first of March. And it goes ahead of the real one by 10 months.
