On the evening of January 17, Rovio announced that the installations of all its games, including the Angry Birds series of projects, amount to 4 billion. The last time the company boasted of cumulative downloads was four years ago. Then the number of downloads of her games was 2 billion.
The Finnish company collected its first billion in less than three years. The original Angry Birds was released in December 2009, and in May 2012 reported that games under this brand were downloaded 1 billion times.
Information about the second billion appeared only in January 2014. Then it was also reported that we are talking about downloads of the main IP of the company. On the other hand, at that time the company had no major hits under other names.
And now, four years later, the company formulates the announcement differently. Not Angry Birds collected 4 billion, but all the titles of the company. For reference, today the company’s portfolio also includes games such as Bad Piggies, Fruit Nibblers and Battle Bay.
We just reached 4 BILLION DOWNLOADS across all of our games! 4 BILLION thank yous to our players for reaching this huge milestone! ?❤️? pic.twitter.com/qYitZYORtb
