The Double Fine studio intends to release its game The Cave on iOS this summer, TouchGen confirmed after the version of the game for touch devices was tested for the first time at E3 2013.

According to TouchGen, the control will be completely based on gestures (swipe and tap). The developers decided to abandon the touch buttons.

For those who are not yet familiar with the adventure puzzle game, we will tell you that in The Cave, each player joins a team, choosing three characters from seven suggested, and goes with them in search of glory and treasure in the talking cave.

The Cave was the last game of Ron Gilbert, author of The Monkey Island, as part of Double Fine. Recently, he has already released the role-playing match-3 Scurvy Scallywags within his own company Beep Games.

By the way, the trend of transferring console games to mobile platforms is gaining tangible proportions. Recall that only yesterday it became known about the transfer to iOS and Android – Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath.
