The Betaworks project managed to overcome the bar of 5 million downloads and almost 1 billion gaming sessions on iOS in the first three months since the release (after which there was a decline). A good start. The question is whether the game will be able to repeat its result on the Google and Amazon platforms.

Another question that has not yet been answered is how much the developers themselves were able to earn on such a popular game?

The project took the first place in downloads in 15 countries, in 32 regions – in the top five. However, the grossing performance of the game is far from those that most developers dream of. Dots was in the top ten only in Nepal, Ghana and Sri Lanka.

However, this was enough for the team to open a new office in the Maldives and, according to Betaworks senior vice President Paul Murphy, “earn billions of dollars” (invests in AOL Ventures, which owns TechCrunch, among others).

Simultaneously with the appearance of Android and Kindle versions, which the developers spent four months creating, an update with a new mode and localization into 10 languages, including Russian, was released for the game on iOS. According to Paul, the development of all versions of the game will take place simultaneously.
