Today, the PC version of Destiny 2 was released on Steam. The title from Bungie immediately got into the top 10 games of the store with the highest online. Its peak of simultaneous players is 220 thousand.

Destiny 2 reached this mark nine hours after the servers were launched. High online made it the tenth in the list of Steam games by the peak of simultaneous users. This place used to belong to No Man’s Sky. Its result is 212 thousand players.

Now the whole list looks like this:

1. PUBG — 3,236 million
2. Dota 2 — 1.291 million
3. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive — 850 thousand
4. Fallout 4 — 471 thousand
5. Grand Theft Auto V — 360 thousand
6. Monster Hunter: World — 329 thousand
7. Counter-Strike — 319 thousand
8. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim — 287 thousand
9. Payday 2 — 247 thousand
10. Destiny 2 — 220 thousand

According to Githyp, Path of Exile has an online record of 123 thousand people. And the Warframe MMO shooter has a peak of 131 thousand simultaneous players.

Destiny 2 has a huge influx of users, because on release in such a large store as Steam, it became shareware. Due to the influx, Bungie had to take servers out for prevention in order to fix problems with endless queues and departures. At the moment, the servers have been restored.

Let’s add that the game attracted a lot of attention from Twitch viewers. Yesterday their peak number was 106 thousand people.

Recall that Destiny 2 was previously published in the store Battle.net from Blizzard. It was moved to Steam due to Bungie’s breakup with the publisher. Today’s launch took place simultaneously with the release of the paid new add-on Shadowkeep.
