Japanese gaming giant DeNA has launched a messenger that allows gamers to communicate with each other during games distributed within the Mobage platform.

The application is called Mobage Chat. As far as we understand, apart from communication within the framework of games, the messenger does not offer anything interesting. The stickers resemble those of LINE and KAKAO, but they are not as bright and charismatic. The application does not have its own showcase yet. You can’t call your friends.

Considering that Mobage is not yet promoting its service (the number of installations is between 100 and 500), it is logical to assume that the application is still under active development.

In our opinion, the industry now really lacks a platform within which users could get to know each other in games and communicate with each other. Often companies create this functionality for their projects on their own, but these tools do not go beyond the titles they were developed for.

The appearance of such a tool (I emptied the base of a random opponent in Clash of Clans, got acquainted, found something to talk about, moved to Boom Beach together and contacted Puzzle & Dragons) would allow me to more effectively transfer the audience from project to project (bonuses for friends, clan inter-game chat, and so on).

What do you think about gaming messengers?
