Czech mobile developer Madfinger Games has announced that it has reached the milestone of 200 million downloads of its games. According to the head of the company Marek Rabas, they managed to achieve such figures without multimillion-dollar investments in advertising.
“200 million is a huge milestone for us, especially since most of these downloads were obtained organically. Thanks to all the fans and media representatives, your contribution helped us achieve our goal,” Rabas said.
Madfinger Games Studio was founded in 2010 by 2K Czech natives Marek Rabas, Tomas Šlápota, Michal Babjar and Pavel Čížek. Before starting their own business, they worked on the Mafia and Hidden and Dangerous franchises.
The most famous Madfinger projects were the mobile action films Shadowgun, Dead Trigger and Samurai: Way of the Warrior. The last part of the Shadowgun franchise — the free-to-play online shooter Shadowgun Legends scored over 1.5 million installations within 6 days after the release, which took place in March 2018. In addition, just 2 days after the release, the game was ported to the Nintendo Switch hybrid console.
