The Japanese Internet company CyberAgent has invested substantial funds in the Indonesian studio TouchTen, which deals with mobile games. In 2011, TouchTen has already received investments from the local venture fund Ideosource.

TouchTen started working in 2009. The studio is located in Jakarta and employs 20 people. In recent years, the company has released several well-known projects, including Sushi Chain (3 million downloads) and Ramen Chain.

Anton Soeharyo, executive director of TouchTen, claims that the studio has been negotiating with the Japanese for the past two years. The deal is finally over. The developers hope that the partners will help in the production of new projects.

CyberAgent has experience working with games. The company is known for the Cygames studio, which came up with Rage of Bahamut (now part of this division belongs to DeNA). CyberAgent also owns stakes in KakaoTalk and Mixi.

The head of CyberAgent Ventures Indonesia, Suzuki Takahiro, says that the smartphone gaming market in Indonesia has not yet fully formed. Focusing on the USA and Japan, the expert hopes that sales of mobile games in the country will continue to increase. In addition to Indonesia, TouchTen games are sold in Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand.
