The creative director of the Dragon Age role-playing series Mike Laidlaw has announced his retirement from the BioWare studio, where he worked for 14 years.
In his farewell message, Laidlaw wrote that it was an honor for him to work with the BioWare team, “but it’s time to move on.”
He thanked all the fans of BioWare separately, noting that he was very inspired by their creativity based on the studio’s games.
Mike Laidlaw also promised to play the titles he was working on in the near future and share his impressions via Twitter and Twitch.
In addition to patronizing the Dragon Age franchise, Laidlaw participated in the creation of the Jade Empire role-playing game and the Mass Effect series.
