The studio-developer of the mobile hit Subway Surfers, SYBO Games has hired game designer Amy Kalson, who worked on The Sims and Bejeweled game series.

At SYBO, Kelson will be responsible for new projects and study the behavior of players using artificial intelligence.

“How people create emotional connections is a big question for me. Using artificial intelligence will help us better understand how players get attached and even fall in love with virtual characters,” said Kelson.

She noted that she will be able to apply her experience in working with a huge audience of SYBO Games fans.

According to the managing director of the studio Mathias Gredal Nervig (Mathias Gredal Nørvig), by the end of May this year Subway Surfers had gained 1.5 billion downloads worldwide.

In June, SYBO Games hired Daniel Persson, the former head of King’s office in the Swedish city of Malmo.
