Kuato Studios has released a free Hakitzu app for iPad, which teaches the basics of JavaScript programming in a playful way.
The game is a turn-based PvP strategy involving combat robots called Code Walkers. The user needs to manage them using JavaScript commands.
Kuato Studios is planning regular updates of Hakitzu, which will gradually introduce more and more complex code designs into the game. However, it is still not entirely clear how the developers are going to monetize the project. At the moment it is distributed for free, there is no IAP in it.
According to developers, Hakitzu is the first game in a planned series of “tutorials” on various scientific, engineering and technological disciplines.
