While we are arguing whether it makes sense to port console titles to mobile platforms, publishers continue to regale us with classics. Next up is Colin McRae Rally 2.0.

The original game was released in December 2000 on the first PlayStation. However, as can be seen from the reviews, she was much more warmly welcomed on the PC, where she appeared a couple of months later.

The project, we recall, is an arcade racing simulator, which was created with the sensitive assistance of the Scottish racer Colin McRae (Colin Steele McRae). The simulator game was called for the relatively realistic physics of the behavior of cars on the highway. Going through a turn in the game was much more difficult than in most Need for Speed series.

Colin McRae Rally (aka the remake of Colin McRae Rally 2.0) went on sale recently in the App Store at a price of $4.99. And we can only monitor its performance in the app stores.

Let’s add on our own: we still look at porting classic titles as exploiting the nostalgia of the older generation of players.
