The audience of mobile PUBG has reached 200 million people, and this is not counting Chinese users. PUBG Corp. reported this to The Verge.
Another popular battle royale, Fortnite, also reached 200 million players last month. But this is the total number of users from all platforms, not just from mobile devices.
The Verge cites two reasons why mobile Fortnite has lagged behind PUBG Mobile in terms of audience size:
- Fortnite was released on iOS and Android later than PUBG Mobile;
- Fortnite is not in the Google Play store, the Android version is distributed directly from the Epic Games website.
Let’s add that both games are launched by 30 million users every day.
