CD Projekt management told investors that they are not afraid of competition from Half-Life: Alyx. It also expressed doubt about the possibility of building a good business on VR games.
On November 23, a transcript of the CD Projekt conference call appeared online, which was dedicated to discussing the financial results of the third quarter (we have already written about the company’s earnings). During the presentation, one of the investors asked a question about possible competition between Cyberpunk 2077 and Half-Life: Alyx (both games are scheduled for release in spring 2020).
Michal Andrzej Nowakowski, Vice President for Business Development and one of the board members of CD Projekt, answered the question negatively. He also, in general, expressed great skepticism about VR.
