Today, the Japanese company Capcom announced the iOS version of Dragon‘s Dogma. Previously, it was assumed that the game will be released only on PS Vita.
Just a month ago, Capcom promised to release a portable version of Dragon‘s Dogma by the end of 2013 – but only for Japan and only on Vita. Now the site has been updated, and a new message has appeared – this time about the release on iOS.
It is not yet clear whether both variants, called Dragon‘s Dogma Quest, will be compatible. But since Dragon‘s Dogma is a social game, then there will definitely be collectible game cards, friend identification systems, and the gacha chip common in Japanese social games.
Yes, with the transfer to mobile platforms, Dragon‘s Dogma has turned from a third-person role-playing action into a classic JPRG.
Famitsu promises to release the iOS version of the game in a shorter time than for the PS Vita, but the exact dates are not yet known.
We are wondering: will the release of any major console game be complete in a year or two without launching a separate mobile one?
