Friday was not without pleasant surprises. Blizzard announced two new major projects at the opening of the 25th BlizzCon Festival. They became Diablo Immortal and Warcraft III: Reforged.

Diablo Immortal

A new game in the Diablo universe cannot be called exclusively an internal project of the company. This is a joint development with the Chinese NetEase, known for the royal battle of Knives Out.

The project is a role—playing isometric action-MMO for mobile devices. According to the first videos, it resembles the classic representatives of this genre for smartphones — Dungeon Hunter and “Tai Chi Panda”.

The release date of Diablo Immortal is unknown. The developers say that the game will be available “soon”, and offer to register to participate in beta testing.

Warcraft III: Reforged

In Blizzard, the Reforged project is called a revised version of the original Warcraft III, which was released in July 2002.

The main changes are graphics and cut scenes adapted to modern cinematics standards. Perhaps the novelty is being created on the updated engine of StarCraft 2 and Heroes of The Storm.

The release of Warcraft III: Reforged is scheduled for 2019.
