Warner Bros. successfully develops a niche for supporting its console projects with mobile releases.

This spring, almost simultaneously with the release of the Injustice: Gods Among Us fighting game on XBox 360 and PS3, a free-to-play product of the same name “based on” appeared in the App Store. The game spent almost three months in the box office top 20 iPhone (overall, USA). And she’s still in the top 40.

Mobile Version of Injustice: Gods Among Us

So it’s no surprise that Warner Bros. I decided to accompany the release of my new console game with a mobile project.

On October 25, beat ’em up Batman: Arkham City Lockdown will appear on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U. And on the same day (or a little earlier), a shareware fighting game of the same name will be launched on the App Store. The Android version will be released on October 26-27.

Batman: Arkham City Lockdown is not far away from Injustice: Gods Among Us. Small arenas, heavily modified Infinity Blade combat system, complete lack of plot. Only the player will have to fight not with cult DC characters against themselves, but with various versions of Batman with the villains of Gotham.

The game was developed by NetherRealm Studios, which created the mobile and console versions of Injustice: Gods Among Us, as well as Mortal Kombat 2011.
