The developers of the Just Cause series are now called Avalanche Studios Group. The change is of a formal nature. It allowed the company to focus on the fact that it is structurally divided into three businesses.
The first one is called Avalanche Studios and creates AAA games in the spirit of Just Cause and Rage 2. The second under the brand Expansive Worlds develops games in the spirit of the hunting simulator theHunter: Call of the Wilds. As for the third structure, here we are talking about Systematic Reaction, which is the publishing brand of the group.
Simultaneously with the rebranding, the company has launched a new game from Systematic Reaction, which previously released the not very successful Generation Zero. Survival shooter about the Swedish hinterland and battles with robots did not appeal to the players. Metacritic ratings for the project are slightly higher than 5 points out of 10.
It is difficult to say exactly what the new project will be. According to the teaser, it is only clear that the core gameplay in it will be built on shooter mechanics.
