The most downloaded games of the month

After a long absence, new products from SayGames (we haven’t seen it since January) and Playgendary (we haven’t seen it in the tops since March) are again being observed at the top of the charts. The mobile version of Among Us also unexpectedly fired. But about everything in order.

In August, five new games were included in the top ten most downloaded mobile games (we are talking about the total top 10, as well as the top 10 iOS and top 10 Google Play). Four of them belong to the hyper—casual direction, the remaining one is exclusively focused on multiplayer entertainment.

1. Scribble Rider

The main hypercausal hit of August. A variation of the Draw Climber that stormed the February tops, which was also published by Voodoo. The player draws wheels to his vehicle right on the level in order to pass the track.

5. Among Us

The project is an analogue of the desktop “Mafia“. There is a spaceship. Users play as a group of astronauts whose task is to fix it. Only one of the astronauts is a traitor. His goal is to kill everyone.

The highest-grossing games of the month

The main thing to note is the disappearance of Brawl Stars and Fortnite from the tops. In the first, the decline is associated with a drop in hype in China, in the second — with a conflict between its developer Epic Games and stores.

At the same time, the Japanese Fate/Grand Order battler shows itself very well, which has re-entered the top 5 highest-grossing games on both iOS and Android.

Also, the MMORPG that appeared this summer, which is called Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds (바람의나라), has excellent metrics. This is a mobile version of the game of the same name, released in Korea in 1996. The project on the home market in August raised $ 34 million.

Playrix last month brought the second game to the world box office tops: after Gardenscapes, which is consistently in them, Homescapes also got into the top ten.
