The confrontation between Apple and Microsoft is gaining momentum. The other day, a company from Cupertino accused Microsoft of taking advantage of the situation around its trial with Epic Games and using Fortnite authors as a “screen.”

Apple stated its point of view in another statement, in which it demanded that the court recognize the testimony of Lori Wright, vice president of Xbox, as unreliable.

Recall that Wright was a witness to Epic Games and told in court that Microsoft does not make money on sales of its consoles.

At the same time, Apple claims that five Epic Games witnesses were associated with Microsoft. One of them, Susan Athey from Stanford University, has already been questioned by Apple lawyers about her consulting work at Microsoft.

Apple is also unhappy that Microsoft refuses to have a dialogue with it, but at the same time discusses with Epic Games bypassing the commission in the App Store.

Microsoft refutes Apple’s statement.

In earlier documentation, Microsoft claimed to have fully fulfilled its legal obligations. As for Wright’s testimony, the corporation claims that Apple has no sufficient grounds to dispute their essence.

Epic Games has not yet given a full comment about Apple’s suspicions about the connection with Microsoft. The authors of Fortine noted only that Apple was “not surprised” by the court, and the testimony of the vice president of Xbox “was predictable.”
