Apple is adding new functionality for developers of “apple” content: each application will soon have a direct beautiful link to the domain AppStore.com .

As a rule, a direct link to the application looks like this: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ocarina/id293053479?mt=8This is normal when you go to the page of an application or company by hyperlink.

Or, alternatively, in the application, click on the shortcut, and you are thrown straight into the App Store. But when it comes to typing an address into a string, problems begin. So that they no longer exist, Apple decided to add the ability to register the address of the application and the company on its own domain AppStore.com .

So now you can make a direct link to your app in the App Store look like this:

Company name:

http://appstore.com /<companyname> for example, http://appstore.com/smule

Application Name:

http://appstore.com /<appname> for example, http://appstore.com/ocarinaApplication of any company:

http://appstore.com /<companyname>/<appname> for example, http://appstore.com/smule/ocarinaBut there are a couple of nuances here.

In some cases, developers will receive the wrong addresses that they want. In other conflict cases, the usual long address will remain behind the application. In addition, a number of queries will display not a specific application, but search results.

On TechCrunch, the following example was given: appstore.com/airhockey and we got a whole list of applications about this type of entertainment. Such a solution will not only save Apple from conflicts and errors, but also, perhaps, partially solve the problem of low visibility of applications in the store.

At the moment, all this functionality, however, does not work.
