GameAnalytics, a company specializing in game analytics, announced the launch of the Runway publishing label. The specialization of the new direction of the Copenhagen team is to help independent teams in the “soft launch” of projects.
“With Runway, we want to help indie developers in the ideal preparation of a full-fledged launch, by collecting all the required data for the “flight”, – its representative Keith Andrew stated in the company’s blog.
He also noted that GameAnalytics cannot guarantee solutions to all problems based on the results of the data collected within the sotflonch. At the same time, understanding what works and what doesn’t before the official release can be very valuable,” Keith said.
As Tom Kinniburgh, head of the publishing division of GameAnalytics, noted in an interview with Nordicgamebits, the company plans to publish a game per month.
Despite the desire to work only with independent teams developing non-standard projects for the market, the main direction in which the Runway will work is free-to-play.
“Of course, for a successful soft launch, the game must be free, so free-to-play is our obvious priority, but we are also open to working with paid projects after collecting data during their limited free launch,” Tom added.
